THE FRANKLIN AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
Tat eleventh annual show of the Franklin Agricultural Society wi.l be held on the Sin* grounds at Pukekohe to-day. From year-to-year this Society's shows have been iiKreasiiid in importance. There is now a nous stuff of officers and committee. The ir.-lnic hfis been prepared on an extra Til scale for this exhibition, and we are i:Mined that the entries exceed in number i- ■ worth those of any previous show held uni-rihe auspices of th« Society. In addit:ru:t'i the exhibition there will be leaping nv. iies for boys and all-comers, as well as oi- rr sports, and farm and garden produce vtii as usual prove a strong point in the tnuiv. . The railway authorities have laid on ij trial trains from Auckland and Waikato to Pukekohe at excursion fares of Id per mi' second class and 2d per mile first class, to count only one way. The excurSi 'ii train will leave Auckland station at hait i-nst eight o'clock this morning, returnin» ironi Pukekohe at half-past five o'clock i this evening.
