[bi ielkqraph.— association.] Wellington, Thursday. A LETTER from Mr. E. D. Hoben to the secretary of the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association states that it has been practically decided to hold an Intercolonial Pour-oared Championship and a Sculling Championship, both to be rowed on the * afternoon of Saturday, May. 16. The distance for this year's contests will be reduced from three milleato two miles, to bring them in accord with the distances for tho New Zealand Championships.
