The Melaneßian Mission yaoht Southern Cross was floated out of thn Auckland Dock yesterday, and berthed at the Hobson-street Wharf. She leaves for the Islands on 'Monday. Yesterday the Union Company's steamer Upolu left Wellington for Westport. The brigantine Stanley was floated into the Auckland Dock yesterday tor cleaning and painting. Yesterday the brigantine _ Meg Merriles arrived at Hokianga from Gisborno to load timber for Australia. The scow Waicetnata left Mungonui for this port yesterday with a cargo of timber for the Kauri Timber Company. This evening the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rakaia is due from Wellington, and will be floated into Calliope Dock to-morrow for overhaul.

Yesterday the brigantine Lady Mabel sailed from Hokianga for Sydney with a cargo of timber.

The barquentine Silver Cloud has sailed from Newcastle for this port with a cargo of coal.

Yesterday morning the Union Company's steamer Janet Nicoll went down to Drunken Bay for the purpose of having her compasses adjusted. She left for Westoort in the evening. The scow Pirate has arrived at Sydney from W hangarei. The barquentine Sydney Belle, which has been engaged in the labour trade for some time past, has been withdrawn, aud is now on her way to Sydney. To-day the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rimutaka leaves Wellington or Loudon.

j. Messrs. Donald and Edenborough's steamer Richmond arrived from W hangarei last criming, after taking iu a supply of bunker coal at the Phumix mine. She leaves for Rarotonga and Tahiti to day. To day the steamer Kiripaka leaves for Ngunguru.

THE SQUADRON. Shortly after ten o'clock yesterday morning H M. sliipi Orlando, Wallaroo, Ivatoomba, and Ringanmina left the harbour for Sydney, their departure being witnessed by a large crowd, who had assembled on the wharf. The Squadron are timed to reach Sydney on Wednesday next. THE TASMANIA. The Hinldart-Parker steamer Tasmania left Sydney for this port last evening. She is due early on Monday morning next, mid proceeds to East Coast aud Southern ports at noon on Tuesday. THE HAWKE'S BAY. The Union Company's steamer Mahinapua Captain W. J. Newton, arrived at Onehunga at uoon yesterday from Southern ports.
