[BY TELEGRAPH,—PitKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. Coal lowering operations on the Westporb Coal Company's incline havo been suspended sinco Thursday, owing to the foundation of the hydraulic drum at the upper break giving way, with consequent damage to machinery and incline railway. Repairs are proceeding night and day. In the meantime, tho Knights of Labour and Cardiff mines ab Mokihinui are filling orders. The barque Cororaandel is in port to load coal for Valparaiso. Tho Wostporb Coal Company has also chartered the barque Cynosure to load for the same port, also the barque Abel, to load for Samoa. The commander of H.M.s. Rapid is making i inquiries as to facilities for coaling here next spring tides. The barque George C. Perkins and Mary Winkleman are also chartered to load for San Francisco next month. There is now 24 feet of water on tho bar at spring bides.
