THE PICTON REG ATTA.

[BY TELSQRAPn.—PRESS association.) Wellington, Wednesday. The programme of the Championship Regatta at Picton has been issued by the local Committee. The first prize for the champion fours is £30, the second £10, a considerable reduction as compared with last year's event, when the prizes were £50, £10, and £5. For the champion pairs and double sculls the prize money is the same as in previous years, viz., £12 and £2, and £10 is set down for the ohainpion sculls. Other events on the programme are the maiden clinker fours, £6 ; junior clinker (in boats provided by local clubs), £6; junior outrigged fours, £12; senior clinker fours, £10; ladies' plate outriggers (open to all amateur oarsmen not entered for champion fours), £10. The maiden aud junior fours, champion pairs, and two heats of the junior pairs, are to be rowed on Saturday, April 4th, and other events on Easter Monday,
