DR. PETERS, THE GERMAN EXPLORER.
SERIOUS CHARGES AGAINST HIM. Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.— Berlin, March 15. In the Reichstag Herr Rebel accused Dr. Peters, the well-known African explorer, of murdering his negro mistress because she was intimate with & negro, and of hanging the latter as a spy, though his officers declined tc execute the sentence. The Government admitted they felt unable to re-appoint him to an official position in German East Africa, Berlin, March 15. In consequence of Herr Bebel's accusations, the. Government has determined to make a fresh inquiry into the charges against Dr. Peters. Hitherto there has been no evidence to convict him,
