MR. JOHN FULLER'S CONCERTS.
Last night, ab the City Hall, Mr. John Fuller commenced another series of popular entertainments, and not only was the house crammed, but money had to be refused, and all agreed that the entertainment was an exceptionally pleasurable one. Had Mr. Fuller not requested that there should be no insistence in the matter of encores, almost every musical number would have had to be repeated. Mr. John Fuller, after his rendering of " The Holy City," had to reappear ; and after singing "Sally Horner," nothing would do but he must sing again. He was compelled, too, to respond to a persistent encore to " The Death of Nelson." Mr. Howard Chambers, who was in good voice, sang "Rooked in the Cradle of the Deep" and " The Arrow and the Song." Miss E. L. Featon, who has greatly improved, and who undoubtedly has shown herself the possessor of talent, gave "The King's Own" her rendering of the "Star of Bethlehem " was admirable; while after her " Killarney" an encore could not be prevented. The "Laughing Trio," by Messrs. John and Ben Fuller, was vociferously received, and had to be repeated. Messrs. Ben and Walter Fuller, as instrumentalists, did splendidly. The whole entertainment was profusely illustrated with fino lime-light views, the programme throughout reflecting the highest credit upon Mr. Fuller.
