Wkstpokt, Saturday The coal export for the week ended to-day was '2897 tons 15cwt., as follows: —West port Coal Company, 2490 tons; Cardiff Company, 407 tons 15cwt. The exporb would havo been much larger but for a break on the Westport Company's incline.

Gkeymoutii, Sunday. The coal export for tho week was 3671 tons 14 cwt, and the timber exporb 274,102 feet.

Wellington, Saturday, Four informations have been laid against E. J. Searle, publican, of Eketahuna, charging him breaking the Licensing Act by selling liquor at the recent Masterton Show on a permit issued by the clerk of the Borough Council upon the certificate of two members of the Licensing Bench. In consequence of representations as to (he existence of sweating in Wellington the Premier has instructed the Labour Department to make enquiries upon the subject. Levin, Saturday. Mr. Puller is aided by a number of ladies and gentlemen of musical ability. _ Magnificent limelight views and mechanical effects will be produced by Mr. C. Cooper. To open up this week at Rushbrook's, ex s.s. Aotea, a magnificent lot of new winter jackets, mantles, capes, etc., all new, and the cheapest goods of their kind ever introduced to the Auckland market.

A meeting of justices to reviee the jury list for the district of Auckland will he held at the R.M. Courthouse, at High-street, on the 4th prox., at 11 a.m. The valuation list for the Borough Council of Parnell, is now open for inspection. The meeting of the Auckland Bowling Association called for to-morrow evening, has been postponed to Thursday evening, at same place and hour.

The offices of the Fire Insurnnce Companies will be closed to-morrow, being St. Patrick's

Day. To-morrow being St. Patrick's Day thero will be the annual race meeting at Papakura. A special train will leave Auckland for the racecourse at eleven a.m., returning immediately after the last race. Owing to Tuesday morrow) being St. Patrick's Day, the usual hide and skin sales nnder the auspices of the Auckland Woolbrokers Association, will be held on the following day (Wednesday). Rnshbrook and Co.'a premises, Queenstreet, are open until 10 o'clock on Saturday evening.
