Small catalogues and very strong competition were the features of the fortnightly wool sales, considerable quantities being sold privately, and several lines withdrawn owing to the expectancy of highor prices. The bulk offering at the sales is medium inferior qualities. As compared with a fortnight ago the values, especially lor scoureds, showed a further slight advance, and full parity with the London advances arc readily torthcoming here. Exports of wool for the eight months ended February show a decrease of 114,700 hales compared with the same period of last year.

So far March has proved a dull month for the import market, but the week closes with a little more life, Export orders continue numerous, New Zealand taking a good deal of business. Breadstuff* are quiet. Local milling wheat nominal. 4s sd. New Zealand, unsettled quoted at 3s 101 to 4s ; offering more freely, but buyers are holding off some" what in the expectation of lower prices when the larger shipments arrive. The recent rains greatly improved the crop outlook and with increased stocks feed produce lines are easier Maize, large supplies declinod 3d. Butter is weak, and other dairy lines steady. Potatoes: Stocks lower fitm. New Zealand onions, good demand £7 to £7 ss. '

During the week a creditors' meeting was held in the estate of Rogers and Co., merchants, of Goulbourn, in which Sydney houses are largely interested.
