RESIGNATION OF MR. HASELDEN.
[SI TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Ellington, Friday. Mr. C. J. Hasblden, Under-Secretary for the Justice Department, and Registrar of Patents, has resigned from the public service, and will he succeeded by Mr. Waldegrave, chief clerk in the Justice Department. Mr. Haselden joined the Civil Service in Auckland, in 1860, and received the appointment of Under-Secre-tary of the Justice Department in 18S7Mr. Waldegrave was for some time Private Secretary to the Hon. W. P. Reeves.
