CONGREGATIONAL UNION.
[UV TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION,] Wellington, Thursday. The Congregational Union re-met this morning when various reports were recei?ed. The Articles of Constitution wero altered to read that members working in mission stations or in forward movement) missions, should be recognised as on an equal footing with pastors of regular congregations. Mr. G. Fowlds, of Auckland, road a paper advocating the abolition of rent for land. He took the ground that all had equal rights to possession to the soil. There was an animated discussion' on paper, bub no action was taken by the meeting.
