Notice is hereby given that it Is the intention of tile Body Corporate called " The Inhabitants of ■ h.) One-tree Hill Road District," incorporated under the provision* of the Road Boards Act, 1832, and its amendments (hereinafter called the local authority) to apply to His Excellency th» Governor in Councii or an authorising order under the provisions of the Tramway* Act, 1894, authorising the construction of tramways through or over or aionir the streets or roads of and in the said Road District with Electrical Traction by means of the overhead system as tho motive power; and further, that in the event of such authorising order being granted, it is the intention of the said local authority on the (.'ranting of the sauie to delegate the authority conferred by such o,<ler to tho persons hereinafter named in tonus of the power vested in it by soction 10 of the said Act. (A) The description of the proposed work; (11) tho place where the plans and cross sections are deposited for public impaction; (C) the names of the persons whom the authority contained in the said order is to be delegated ; and (I)) a general description of the terms and conditions subject to which such delegation is to be made are as follows :— (A) Tho description of tho propound works being the construction of a line of tramways from the present lemiinus at Potter's Paddock, Epsom, to the boundary between the Road Districts of Onetree Hill and Mount Ro«kill, passing nlong the Auckland and Onohunga Road. The tramway is to be aiugle line of the same gauge as at present, with crossing places in number and position as may be agreed on between the One • tree Hill District ltoad B aid and the delegated authorities. The whole to be in accordance with tlio regulations of the Board of Control constituted in terms of the Tramway Act, lbflt, and subject also to tho rules of the Board of Trade in London in reference to Electrical Traction being observed in such construction. B. The plans and cross-sections showing the nature of the works proposed to be undertaken within the boundaries of tho Road District are deposited for public inspection at Mr, John Jamieson's, Epsom More and Post Office. C. It Is intended that the authority contained in tho said Authorising Order shall be delegated by the Local Authority to Messrs. Dillwyn Parrish and Alfred Parrish, of No. •>, Copthall Buildings, London. D. A general description of the terms and conditions subject to which the delegation is to be made being Messrs. Dillwyn Parrish and Alfred Parrish to commence tlio construction of the said works and electrical equipment within eight calendar months from the date of the agreement delegating the said authority, and on failure to do to then the powers given or conferred by the said authorising order shall cease to bo exercisable by the said Dillwyn Parrish and Alfred Parrisli or their assignees, lessees, or mortgagees, as provided by section 28 of tho second schedule of the Trainways Act, ISS4. The authority and all powers, lights, and privileges contained in the said delegation of authority shall be made ruliject to the contracts made with and concessions granted to and now vested in the City of Auckland tramways anil Suburban Land Company, Limited, and its assigns, and to all powers, rights, privileges and obligations contained in such contracts and concessions or otherwise vested In or imposed on the said company, and HUbject alio to tho aid Dillwyn Parrisli and Alfred Parrish or their assigns before the 80th day of June next obtaining from the said City of Auckland Tramways and Suburban Land Company, Limited, or their assigns a complete and valid assignment of all its inter sts in the said City of Auckland Tramways and Suburban Land Company. Limited, and its plant and appliances to enable the said tramways to be completed as at present authorised with any alteration and extension applied f.,r and extending the lines from Auckland to Pamell and OMehunga, and to equip the whole with plant for electrical traction, the t-crrn of the concessions under which that portion of the said tiamways traversing the >aid ttoait District are at present held and worked is to he extended for a term of 21 years from th« date of the delegation of the authority contained in the authorising order intended to be applied for at a rental of £27 per annnin, p,yable as and from the day of tlio opening the tramway for traffic with electric traction, said rent to be payable half-yearly on the first days of January and July in every year.
