At Mr. W.J. Hunter's last sale of stock. ; at Ohaupo, there was a smart demand for i young stock, calves ranging from 5s to 7s Gd higher than at previous sales. Although the attendance was small, there were a good j many buvers, and cattle changed hands ' freely. Natives from the West Coast- (Karaka) Churchill, Otorohanga, and To Kuitl were present, and large purchasers of stock. The following prices were realised:—Ci-lvos, from 16s to 24? ; yearlings, £110s to £1 14s 6d; 18-months old, £1 16s to £2 la 6d: dairy cows, up to £5 ss, for which there was but little demand; car-old steers, in fresh condition, £3 ss. Smith and Oaughey hold a large stock of natural wool under-garments for ladies' wear —as recommended by Dr. Emily B. Ryder. It is no art to be rich when one has money, and it is no merit to be poor when one has | none, but a Waterbury Watch is within the I reach' of all, both rich and poor, and no : better timekeeper can be bought. The | wonderful new and improved watch, " The i Trump," can now be obtained everywhere,
