IRONSTONE AND LIMESTONE.

TO THE EDITOR. Slß,—Can any of your country correspondents inform us at what price per ton ironstone or limestone could be delivered at the wharf ? A few weeks ago I had a chat with a gentleman who had recently been taking a tour in the North, when his attention was called to the splendid state of the roads in some parts, and was told that that was owing to the use of ironstono for road motal. Now, if ironstone or limestone produces less dust in tho summer, and less mud in tho whiter, it would be healthier to the citizens, and a great boon to shopkeepers especially. Besides having the valuable property of selfconsolidation, it is said to wear remarkably well, and probably would not require roadscrapings as a binder.— am, etc., W.G.
