THE AUCKLAND FREEZING COMPANY.

The Auckland Freezing Company have issued the following circular to owners of sheep i—

In view of tlx* poor support accorded to lis last year by the general public, anil to the trifling support promised this season, we are reluctantly compelled to cense freezing lor export fur the remainder of the year. Wo trust that, in view of the probable depressed state of the market and our willingness to meet you by reducing our charges to a minimum, you will see It to be to your advantage to export. Ily so doing you will assist in relieving the local market to such an extent that you will gain in the end from the better prices you will obtain for the balance of your stock.

We understand that if farmers will give the Company fair support they may be induced to continue operations and lower their freezing charges to a level with the freezing companies at other large centres, and we hope for the sake of the industry and the damaging effect the closing of the works will have on the local markets that farmers will rise to the occasion.
