Mr. Sydney Philips, of Philips and Pyke, of Wellington, leaves Auckland on Monday, and will proceed, via South, to Australia and then to London. Mr. Philips will be on the business of his firm, but ho is understood to have undertaken negotiations in connection with several raining properties for the home market.
In an advertisement in another column it will be seen that Messrs. Dovore and Cooper state that the title of the Hauraki North Gold Mining Company to its special claim has been perfected and is now vested in the company, and that there are no encumbrance? iu or claims against either the claim or the leasehold or freehold allotments.
A general meeting of the thorn Cross O.M. Co. will he held on the 17th prox., at Hobson's Buildings, at three p.m.
