(The Northern Company's steamer lona arrived from the Great Barrier last evening. She leaves to-night for Kuaotunn and Mercury Bay. Yesterday morning the Northern Company's steamer Douglas arrived from Whaugarei with a cargo of coal, and leaves for the lame place again this evening. Last night the Northern Company's steamer Wellington left for Whanqarei. Messrs. Donald and Edenborough's steamer Richmond went down to Drunken Bay yesterday morning to have her compasses adjusted, and on returning berthed at the Quay-street jetty to complete her loading for Rarotonga and Tahiti, for which places she leaves today. The barque Devonport was towed down to the Thames by the Nautilus yesterday morning to load timber at Bagnall mill for Melbourne. To-day the steamer Stella leaves for Rarotonga on a trading trip, which is expected to occupy about three weeks. This evening the Union Company's steamer Dingadee leaves for the East Coast and Wellington, The barque Acacia arrived at the Thames from Port Chalmers yesterday morning, and was towed up to Baguall's mill, Turua, by the p.s. Patiki to load timber for Melbourne. This afternoon the Northern Co.'s steamer Chelmsford leaves for Tairua, Whangamata, and Whakatane. The Union Co.'s steamer Wakatipu arrived at Wellington from Sydney yesterday. H.M.s. Goldfinch was floated into the Calliope Dock yesterday morning for overhaul. The cargo for the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co.'s steamer Rangatira, from > London, is turning) out in excellent condition. The steamer leaves for the South about Tuesday next.

Yesterday tho ship Wellington sailed from Napier for London.

The steamer Invincible was floated out of ' the Auckland Dock yesterday.

Yesterday the harijuentine Hnnda Isle arrived at Sydney from Whangarei with a cargo of timber. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Otarama arrived at London from New Zealand ports on Tuesday last. On discharge at Lyttelton the steamer Balmain proceeds to the Kaipara to load timber for Melbourne.

The schooner Marmion, now on the passage from Port Chalmers to Napier, is to proceed to Mercury Bay to load timber for Dunedin. At Port Chalmers the well-known barque Alcestis is loading general cargo for London.
