London, January 5. Manx English and American newspapers are in sympathy with the proposal of the New York commercial men that a joint British and American Commission should enquire into the Venezuelan dispute.
The Daily Chronicle says the highest American authorities are in favour of a joint enquiry.
Mr. Brewer presides over the American commission.
