fur TJSLKQRAPH.-OWM CORRESPONDENT.] COROMANDKL, Monday. His Exokllenoy Loud Glasgow and suito visited Coromanilel this morning. The Governor was met on tho wharf by the members of the County Council, who presented him with an address of welcome. The Vice-Regal party were then conducted to the Kapanga mine, being the oldest in New Zealand, and shown over the machinery, The Ladies Augusta and Dorothy Boylo were ringed out in oilskins, and went down tho shaft to the 800 feet levol, conducted by Captain Argall. Gold in its various stages of extraction was shown. 'I he party then returned to Captain Argalls House, and afterwards took luncheon at the Coromandol Hotel. They then proceeded to the famous Hauraki mine, and were shown some ruagnificoub specimens, some of which Cuptain Hodge presented to His Excollency. The party were mot with repeated expressions of loyalty on the way, and returned to tho Hinemoa, expressing themselvos delighted with thoir trip. They are proceeding to the Barrier to-night.
