The annual picnic of the llemuera District School was held yesterday. At 9.1!0 a.m. about 600 parents, scholars, and friends left the Queen-street Wharf for Motutapu. the weather was perfect, and the well-known Newmarket Band enlivened tho beautiful Bail to Mr. Reid's island home. After a most enjoyable day, athletic sports being indulged in, the steamer returned, leaving Motutapu at! o'clock. Before weighing anchor, three lustj cheers were given for the popular owner a the island, Mr. Reid. after which the Ban* struck up, "He's a Jolly Good Fellow, am " Auld Lain; Sync." . iSoro throats, hoarseness etc., quickly cured by Cnmly's Fluid.
