AUCKLAND. SI "MESSES. ALFRED DOCKLAND AND SONS' WEEKLY REPORT. At the Haymarket during the past week hay has brought 2s 6d per cwt, straw from 25s to SGs the load, maize on wharf 3s, ex store 3s 2d per bushel, sharps 4s 6d, oats 2s lOd. On Friday, horse stock yarded plentifully, were dull of sale. Medium draught, £8 to £14 each, The advertised horse Bogtrotter, £1010s. At Pokeno, on Monday, cattle mustered numerously, mostly cows and young cattle. Cows sold from £310s to £4 103; calves from 13s Gd to 25s each. On Wednesday, at Dairy, there was a full supply of all classes of cattle, most of which were sold at late values. At the hide and skin sale hides were slightly lower in value. Light ox from to 3d ; medium, Hid to 3Jd; stout, Hid to 4Jd; cow hides from 2fd to 3d lb. Skins in brisk demand. Fresh skins from 4s 6d to 6s; lambskins, Is Id to Is 9d each; dry skins, 5d to s.j»d lb. On Wednesday, a full catalogue of dumps and bays of wool, the greater part locks and pieces, sold at fairly good pricos. At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cows more plentiful than usual, were better worth. Store cattle, particularly grown steers, were at extreme values. Young and fat calves in moderate number, were without alteration in values. Fat cattle yarded numerously, '270 sold were required, and better worth at finish than beginning of sale; steers of fair to good quantity ranged from 19s to 21s the 10()lb. Sheep not so numerously yarded as for several weeks, scarcely kept previous values; lambs in usual number, a large proportion of indifferent quality were at late prices. Few pigs yarded, those were dull of sale. MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT. Horse teed, grain, seeds: Slackness has characterised the market, but prices have not declined. We quote : Maize, 2s lid to 3s 011 wharf, ex store, 3s 3d to 3s Od ; oats, 2s 8d to 2s lOd bushel; bran, £5 ton; oaten iff, £419s to £5 ton. Horses: A great many have been brought forward, There was 110 corresponding improvement in the demand, but sales were effected at the previous week's rates. The Durham Yards wore completely filled on Friday, and most of tho lots were disposed of at little or no alteration in values. We quote : Heavy Draught, £10 15s to £17 10s; medium draught, £9 10s to £12 los; light harness, £4 15s to £1010 a. Hie thoroughbred horses i kau sold at loguineas; Porangi Potae, 21 guineas; Brigantine, 17 guineas; Deadshot, 50 guineas; The Sharper' 22 guineas, Wool, hides, skins, tallow, bones: Rather large quantities were pitched at the Durham Yards. Prices for hides wero in favour of the purchaser, but skins and wool were in favour of the vendors. We quote: Stout ox hides. 4d to 54 lb; medium, 3d to 3.1 d ; steer and cow, ljfd to 3fd ; kip, 2d to 3d; calf, 2Jd to4|d; sheepskins, 2s 8(1 to 6s 9d ; pelts, Id to Is Gd each ; bones, £3 ton ; tallow, lGs 9d cwt; wool, in bags, fleece, 5d to 7}d; locks and pieces, from ljd to 7d lb.

On Tuesday we offered an extra large catalogue of hides, sheep skins, tallow, etc. Hides: Prices easier throughout and several lines of ox passed. Stout ox sold from 4(1 to 4 id: extra, up to sd; picked, f>Jd ; steer, 3d to 3|d ; cow, balk, sold at 2j'd ; a few picked at 3d. Calf, dull of sale, from 2id to 4d lb. Sheepskins: Local green and salted large longwools, from 5s to fis 2d ; five picked at 7s ■Id; country dry, from 4d to sld lb; pelts, prices easier, best lots up to Is 3d; ordinary, lOd to Is; small, 4d to (id; lamb skins, from Is to Is 7d ; dry pelts, nominal.
