DISASTROUS FIRES IN AUSTRALIA.
LARGE ENGINEERING WORKS BURNED. DAMAGE £'.>4,000 THREE FIREMEN INJURED. GREAT CONFLAGRATION AT PERTH. LOSS ESTIMATED AT £30,000. SOUTHERN CROSS RAILWAY SHEDS DESTROYED. ENORMOUS DAMAGE. fcrtss Association.—Electric Telegraph.—CopyrighK Melbourne, November 11. Messrs. Bennie and Mhare's large engineering works havo been burned down and totally destroyed. A fireman named Henncssy fell off a ladder and fractured his skull. Ha is now In a precarious condition. Two other firemen, named Brown and Foster, were injured by falling dobris. The damage is estimated at £24,000. The property was insured for £19,000 in local offices. Perth, November 11. Between twenty and thirty business places havo been partly or totally destroyed, by fire. . Tho damage is estimated at £30,000. The railway sheds at Southern Cross containing machinery and goods valued at £20,000 or £30,000, havo also been totally destroyed by fire.
