[bx TELEGRAPH.— association. Wellington, Monday. The City Council has decided to erect two salt water baths, one at each end of the town. Mr. Andrew Young, the well-known coach proprietor, is seriously ill, and is nob expected to recover. At an inquest on a child found in the harbour medical evidence was to the effect the child had breathed and had been killed either by suffocation or by a blow. The inquest was adjourned. Hawkra, Monday. At the District Court, on Saturday, John Farrell, William O'Reilly, and Owen Cullon Cowen, were found guilty on a charge of conspiracy to defraud their creditors, and were sentenced to three years' hard labour. William O'Reilly was also found guilty of perjury, and sentenced to 12 months' hard labour, to be concurrent with the previous sentence. Chrtstchurch, Monday. The Industrial Exhibition was visited today by Sir Robert Stout, who expressed himsolf pleased and surprised with what he saw.
