Mr. Rhodes had a lively few minutes a few weeks ago with a buck. He was showing the Hon. A. Wilmob over his estate, and both had armed themselves with stinks, in case the wildebeest should prove aggressive. A buck suddenly jumped out upon them from a clump of bushes. The Premier slipped and fell, and the brute ripped his trousers leg from ankle to knee with its horns. Mr. Wilmot came to the rescue with the Premier's stick, and Mr. Rhodes succeeded in grasping one of the animal's horns. Mr. Wilmot seized the other, and together they conducted the creature between them to the fence. »
