MR. CHAMBERLAIN AND THE CAPE ASSEMBLY.

Press Association.—Eleotric Telegraph.—Copyright.

Capetown, August 2. In the Cape Assembly indignation was expressed by a section of the members at the conditions imposed by Mr. Chamberlain on the transference of Bechuanaland to the control of the Cape. They urge that these conditions will interfere with the freedom of the colony, and challenge the Colonial secretary to attempt to force similar terms on Australia.
