Ti-tree or tea tree. The following clipping from the Gardeners' Chronicle will show what perplexity may occur to an editor through the misspelling of the word tea* tree :—" Queensland titree bark is stated to be the best material tor' packing. It is much better than cork dust. This latter information is mysterious. Books tell us that the ti-tree* are species of cordyline or dracaena, bub ii! so, how about the bark? Perhaps some of our Australian friends will take pity on our ignorance of their vernacular, and tell us of what the packing really consists." The Agricultural Economist announces that the National Co-operative Flower Show for 1895 will be held, as usual, at the Crystal Palace, on Friday and Saturday, August 23 and 24. A new and interesting feature of the show will be a series of designs for workmen's gardens. Special Erizes of £5, £3, and £2 are offered for the est illustrations, that shall contrast the worker's garden of taste" with the " worker's garden, run to waste." It appears that the editor of the studio has kindly promised to receive the designs, and arrange for impartial adjudication.
