PrJKEKOKE V. PONSONBY NAVALS. On May 25 a friendly match was fired ab tho Pukekohe Rifle Range between the Ponsonby Navals and the South Franklin men. The Navals, not being a representative team, ib was apparenb after firing at the 200 and 300 yards range,' that they were no match for the Franklin team. As time would nob permit them to fire at the 400 yards range, they were satisfied to accept tho scores as they then stood, and on counting, it was found the local team had won by 98 points. The local men entertained the visitors to a substantial dinner at the Pnkekohe Hotel, after which they departed for town about four o'clock. —[Own Correspondent.]
