The Colonial Sugar Refining Company's steamer Fiona, Captain R. H. Smith, arrived from Fiji on Saturday afternoon with a cargo of raw sugar for the Chelsea Refinery. The master, to whom we are indebted for late Suva papers, reports that the Fiona left Laucala Ray at 5 p.m. on the 20th inst, and experienced strong head winds throughout the trip, the harbour being made at 4 p.m. on Baturday. After landing passengers and mails the Fiona proceeded up to Chelsea to discharge, and will leave for Sydney to-night. On Saturday evening the Union Co.'s steamer Ohau, Captain P. Black, arrived from Lyttelton with a cargo of general produce. She left Lyttelton on Wednesday morning last, and experienced fine weather to arrival at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday. She leaves for Westpprt this evening. * The Northern Co.'s steamer Waiotahi arrived yesterday morning from Opotiki and Tauranga with a number of passes and a cargo of maize, etc. On Saturday evening the Northern Co.'s steamer Argyle arrived from Tairua, Mercury Bay, and Kuaotunu, and leaves for the two latter places again this evening. The brigantine Anthons hauled out into the Stream on Saturday, and will sail for Kaipara the first favourable change of wind. At seven o'clock this evening the Northern Company's steamer Clansman leaves for Russell, Whangaroa, and Mangonui. The schooner Annie Hill sailed from Lyttelton for this port yesterday with a cargo of produce. On Saturday the new three-masted scow Pirate arrived at Napier from Ngunguru with a cargo of coal, on discharge of which she sails for Mercury Bay to load timber for Wellington. _ , , The Union Company's steamer Taierl arrived at Suva on the Bth inst. from Sydney, and after going through the proup, was to leave for Sydney on the 21st inst. On the 14th inst. the 8.1.5. N. Company's steamer Virawa left Suva for Calcutta with ft number of returned Indian labourers. She was to call at Thursday Island en route. The Northern Company's steamer Douglas arrived from Whangarei with a cargo of coal on Saturday morning, and leaves at 5 p.m. to-day for the Town Wharf, Whangarei. On Saturday night the Northern Company s steamer Wellington left for Whangarei, and returns this evening. m , - The brigantine Defiance sailed for the Kaipara on Saturday afternoon, to load timber for Syduey. ■ On Saturday morning the steamer Richmond was floated into the Auckland Dock for cleaning and painting, and came out again at night. She leaves for Rarotonga and Tahiti to-night. ' ' The three-masted scow Whangaroa left Lyttelton for Hokitika on Saturday.
