SHOCKING GUN ACCIDENT.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Te Awamctu, Friday. A serious accident happened at Te Puki this morning to a half-caste named John Emery. A cousin of Emery's, named Warren, was rubbing the barrels of a gun to dry them when tho charge wenb off, and Emery, who was standing about six feet away, received the whole of a charge of No. 3 shot in the groin, tho wound being almost largo enough to put one's hand in. Dr. Pairman was immediately sent for. and after doing what ho could for tho sufferer recommended his removal to the Waikato Hospital, where he was taken during the day.
