EDUCATION WITHOUT RELIGION.
THE EXAMPLE OF VICTORIA. WHAT THE ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY SAYS. Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. London, February 2. The Primate of All England (Dr. Benson), speaking at Canterbury, referred to some of the published statistics in Victoria with regard to crime, and stated that the absence of religious teaching in the State schools in Victoria was to his mind responsible for tue great increase in juvenile crime. The policy of not permitting religious teaching was, he thought, ridiculous, if not dreadful.
