THE ANGLO-JAPANESE TREATY.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. The Women's Social and Political League has passed the following resolution : — " That this meeting trusts the New Zealand Government will not become a party to the recently-signed Anglo-Japanese treaty, as it considers the advantages to be derived by way of trade with Japan would be more than • counterbalanced by the evils that would result from a large influx of Japanese to this colony."
