THE RECENT FALL.

Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.— London, January 14. The Financial Times asserts that the fall in Victorian stocks is owing to the embarrassed condition of the Ministry. The Standard states a hint was passed round "the City" that a large fall in stocks was expected. There is no reason clear why such a decline should take place, but it presumes the market must be willing to lend an ear to the rumour. '
