Perth, January 8. Further particulars concerning the dynamite explosion at Fremantle show that 522 pounds exploded. Great damage was done to property in Fremantle, apart from the havoc ~to the sheds. An eye-witness describing the explosion states that a huge tongue of flame surmounted by fire, resembling a meteor, shot into the air for a distance of about 200 feet, and was visible for fourteen miles. The upshoot of flame was observed on board the steamer Adelaide, which was approaching Rottnesb. The captain states he distinctly felt the shock, and from the appearance of the flame he judged Fremantle had been wrecked. . Ab Rockingham, 13 miles away, the shock was felt, and at Olaremonb many persons were aroused from bed. Ib has not yeb been ascertained how the explosion occurred, bub it is evident thab the priming shot was not fired by accident.
