He is a bay, standing 16J hands, good bone and substance, splendid symmetry, excellent temper, and good action. PEDIGREE: Argyle, sire of Duke of Argyle, has taken nine Second Prizes ; he is by Banker (imp.); Banker has taken no less than 13 First Prizes. Argyle's dam, Blossom, was a Prize-taker at Oamaru and Palmertston, her sire is Young Hero. Young Hero's sire, Hero, took 20 First and Second Prizes, and he has left more Prize-takers than any other horse travelf ling in New Zealand. Duke of Argyle's dam, Jess, by Blackleg.
