FATAL ACCIDENT ON A RACECOURSE.
* [BIT TCI.KQRAPK.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Palmebston North, Sunday. A cross-country rider named Sidney Clearer, 24 years of age, met with a fatal accidenb this morning on the Palmersbon racecourse. The horse Mangatangaroa, while being schooled over hurdles, struck heavily, rolled over the hurdles and then on Cleaver, the rider, who died half-an-hour afterwards from the result of internal injuries. His parents reside at West Oxford, Canterbury.
The quarterly meeting of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce will be held in the rooms of the Chamber on Thursday afternoon.
