AUCKLAND RACING CLUB'S SPRING

MEETING. On Saturday next the Auckland Racing Club hold their First Sprin? Meeting at EUeralie, and should fine weather prevail, a capital afternoon's sport should result. The programme to be gone through consists of seven events, viz.: Trial Handicap (seven furlongs), Handicap Hurdle Race (one mile and three-quarters), Spring Handicap (one mile and aquarter), September Stakes (four furlongs), Handicap Steeplechase (about three miles), Flying Stakes (six furlongs), Pony Handicap (six furlongs). The first race is set down to be started at one p.m.

The Possible did strong work, and Stanmore put in a fair gallop. First Shot was badly left by Glenullin in a gallop once round. Florrie, with a light weight, beat Paris over a mile and a furlong. Time, 2m. 12s.
