On Monday last a portion of the now breastwork at Freeman's Bay, which hasbeen erected to keep the '' spoil from the dredge punts getting back into the harbour collapsed, taking engine and hoisting plant with it. A party of men have been getting the engine in its place again, and it is expected that the work of filling in the relamation will be resumed on Monday morning. f Owing to the spreading of : whooping cough among the children the attendance at the Jubilee Kindergarten does nob exceed 30, but it is gradually improving.
