Russell, and Captain Rusaoll, appointed to Consider, the amendments uo the Gaming Bill, conferred with the managers of the Legislative; Council this evening. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided to strike ~ out section 7.and .to' amend clause 6, so as to take the power out of the hands of the Colonial Secretary,' and, vest the' same 'in the Governor by Order-in-Council. lam informed that Messrs. Duncan and La wry, who were on the first conference," will accept this. It is understood that the Premier will confer with the Racing Clubs before issuing the permits. | : ' '
