The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,640,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,270,000 quarters. The American visible supply of wheat is 74,200,000 bushels. THE BUTTER MARKET. London, August 23. It is estimated that owing to 1500 tons of colonial butter being stored in London, besides larger quantities of Irish, supplies will be very abundant this season. The European and British hay crops also show a large increase. It is expected that colonial butter will average 15s to 20s below last season.
