DEATH OF MAJOR SCULLY.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Napier, Monday. Major Soolly, for many years in charge of the Hawke's Bay police district, is dead. The deceased came to the colony with the 65th foot regiment, in which he served for 21 years, being subsequently appointed sergeant-major in the Armed Constabulary and sent to Napier in 1862. His death was due to a breakup of the system, brought on by a neglected attack of influenza. Ho was aged 75. The deceased is to be accorded a military funeral on Wednesday by order of the Defence Department.
