There was a large attendance in the morning, and in the evening the church was crowded. The musical portions of the services were specially attractive. The anniversary of the Alexandra-street Primitive Methodist Church was celebrated by special services yesterday, all of which were largely attended. The service in the morning was conducted by the W. S. Potter, and in the evening by the Rev. U. E. Ward. The children's service in the afternoon was of a bright and interesting character, the address being delivered by the Rev. A. Peters. The annual tea will be held to-morrow evening at half-past six. ilt St. Benedict's Church yesterday,, the High . Mass was celebrated by the Very Rev. Father Downey, 0.5.8. The Rev. Father Downey preached, and the choir repeated Gounod's sublime " O Salutaris," with Mons. C'aeier as soloist, who also sang with Miss Lorrigan and Mr. Thomson, Verdi's beautiful trio, " JesuDei Vivi." '<
