AUCKLAND. MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT. Horsefeed, grain, seeds., etc. : The supply has been sufficient for requirements, and the demand steady. We quote: Oats, 2s to 2s 2d; maize, 2s 6d to 2s 8d; barley, 2a 6d; wheat, 2s 7d; carrots, 25s to 27s 6d per ton; oaten chaff, 35s to 45s per ton; ryegrass, 4s 3d; cocksfoot, 7a 6d to 8s per Bushel. Horses The supply has been been ample, and a good demand has existed for draughts of a good stamp, whether medium or heavy, at late values. A large number were submitted by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday. Bidding was good throughout the sale. We quote: Heavy draughts, £11 15a to £23 10s; medium, £11 to £16 10s; light harness, £5 5s to £12 10s; hacks, £3 12s 6d to £14; unbroken colts, heavy draughts, £15 15s to £23 10s; light, £8 to £9 10s; jumping horse, Recruit, £25; Long Roper, £19 ss; Captres.'., £20; Larry, £12 10s. Wool, hides, skins, tallow, bones: A good many skins and moderate quantities of hides, wool, and tallow were pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, a brisk demand existed. We quote: Extra stout lox hides, worth 4|d to s&d; stout, 3£d to 4d; medium, 2id; steer and cow, 2d to d; calfskins, 2sd to 3Jd ; tallow, 16s to 21s cwt; bones, £3 ton ; sheepskins, Is lOd to 4s Id each; lambskins, 2s lOd to 3s 4d ; pelts, 4rt to Is 7d. Wool : Fleece, 6d to 6id per lb; lambswool, 6}d to 6Jd. Cattle: An increased number of fat and dairy stock were in brisk demand at fully last week's value, and store buyers were unwilling to give the prices expected. The Newmarket yards were well filled on Tuesday. Competition was brisk up to the previous week's values, and up to a slightly exhausted value for well fatted oxen. Some averages of steers were, £9 4s 4d, £8 14s 7d, £7 13s 9d, £6 15s 5d ; cows, £5 7s 6d, £5 10s, £5 ss, £5. Sheep were in less than usual numbers at Newmarket on Tuesday, and prices were slightly in favour of the vendor; wethers sold at from 10s fid to 13s 6d ; ewes, 5a to lis 6d ; lambs, 5s 6d to 9s 6d. Pigs: In moderate numbers; sold freely; no heavy weights yarded; weauers sold from 7s to 12s ; slips, £1 to £115s. MESSRS. ALFRED BUCKLAND AND SONS REPORT. At the Haymarket during the past week meadow hay brought from 2s 3d to 4s; oaten sheaves, 2s 3d to 2s 6cl cwt; oats, Is 8d to 2s; maize, 2s to 2s 6d; wheat, 2s 6d; cocksfoot, 7s 6d ; ryegrass, 3s to 63 bushel; clovers, 8d to Is ; rape, 4d ; rat-tail, Is Id lb ; carrots, 25a ; chaff, 55s ; bonedust, £5 to £6 ton. On Friday horse stock, entered numerously, were dull of sale, and many remained unsold. Active draught brought from £13 to £16; medium and light draught, £7 to £10 each. On Tuesday hides sold in excess of usual number, and fairly kept late values. Picked heavy brought 43d ; stout ox, 3d to 31d; light ox, 2d to 2£d : cow hides, lfd to 2£d ; calf skins, :2fd to 3£d lb; tallow, 18s to 20s ; bones, 3s cwt; rough fat, Ifjd to l|d lb ; wool and skins also fully represented, and kept their values; pelt skins ranged from Is to 3s 4d each ; fleece wool, 5Jd toGfd lb. At Remuera on Thursday,'dairy cows were without alteration in value ; prices for those at profit ranged from £4 10s to £8. Young and fat calves in usual number, were better worth than last week. Fat cattle in less number than for several weeks, 160 yarded, advanced on last week's values. Steers were steady in price throughout the sale, at 18s lOOlbs. Fat sheep also in moderate number. 624 sold, advanced in values ; wethers ranged up to 15a 3d.; ewes, 12a 3d ; lambs, 10s each. Pigs abundant, 162 yarded, many of large size, sold satisfactorily. Heavy pigs brought from 36s to 61s; porkers, 16s to 355; store pigs, 10s 6d to 16s; weaners, 93 to lis; suckers, (is to 8s each.

MESSRS. G. W. BINNEY AND SON'S REPORT. On Tuesday we cleared a large catalogue of hides, sheep skins, tallow, bones, etc. Competition was brisk and good values given throughout. Prime stout ox sold from 5d to s|;d; extra stout. 4d to 4Jd; stout, 3£d to 3Jd; steer and thin ox, 2id to 2£d. Cow hides sell freely from 2gd to 2i<l for good lines ; medium, 2d; wet and sloppy, lid; damaged, Id to l£i; stags, ljd to Ifd ; kip, 2d to2£d; calf, 3d to3Jdlb. Sheep skins : Local green, 2s 9d to 3s 6d ; country, salted and well dried, 2s 63 to 3s 4d: dry sound pelted skies, equal to 5d to s&d lb. Tallow : Prices ranged from 16s for poor to 20s 6d for best; rough fat, l£d lb. Bones: £3 ton. Bacon : Prices advanced; roll, 7jd ; morepork, 7sd. Special quotations for large lines. WELLINGTON FRUIT MARKET. Messrs. Geo. Thomas and Co. (Wellington) report on April 17 :— A fair demand exists for all classes of pears which reach us iu good condition ; but that for apples has considerably fallen off during the week. .No shipments from Sydney have arrived for some time, and any that should come by next steamer would come to an empty market, and should realise good prices. Orauges : D.E. find ready sale at 7s 5d per case. No Sydney in the market. Lemons : We have none of these to quote. Apples: Common sorts do not command more than 2s to .'is per case; a slightly better demand exists for dessert, 4s to ss. Pears: Melbourne are worth 14s per case ; Hobart, from 8s to 12s; New Zealand, from 53 to 9s sd. Tomatoes: From 2s to 3s per case. _ Cape gooseberries, from 4d to 5d per lb. Quinces : Full cases, 3s 6d to 4s. Grapes: Good samples are worth Is 3d per lb. There is little demand for rock or watermelons.
