The death is reported of Mr. Thomas Duncan, who for half a century was chief clerk to the Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland. Mr. Duncan was not only official 'connected with the society, but he was one of its most painstaking and devoted servants, and in recognition of his long and efficient service he was unanimously granted a handsome retiring allowance when he resigned his post about a couple of years ago on acccont of advancing years.
