CHARITABLE AID IN CHRISTCHURCH.
[by TELEGRAPH. ASSOCIATION'.] Christchurch, Wednesday. The question of the appointments of lady inspectors was brought up ab the mooting of the Charitable Aid Board to-day. After a long discussion notice of motion was given "That the Board advertise foir ladies to volunteer to make monthly inspections of all cases in Christchurch and the suburban districts, and report to the Board apart from the inspectors —two for Christchurch, one for St. Alban's, and one for Sydenham. The statistic? of relief showed that 431 cases, comprising 1413 persons, received outdoor relief in March. This was an increase of 2;! cases on tho nu jaber for the same month last year.
