Company, .Limited, and 'the? following are the, grounds of the objection :—l. That the granting of the special claim apSliedifor by the May Queen Gold Mining lompany, - Limited,v Would : retard the progress of the field and be seriously prejudicial to the mining interests of the Thames goldfield.?: 2.-That; the granting of such claim would be prejudicial to the miners of the Thames. •; - 3; That : tho. \ applicant i company own the whole of the interests now, applied for to be included in a special claim, and the | carrying :on of mining,: operations ..would not be • impeded 4by reason *of the said interests j; being 'sheld under /separate titles. 4. That the application for the said special claim is not made with a view to carry on legitimate/ mining operations, but - for! the purposes of speculation., 7. That there are at the present time several other special claims, upon the Thames goldfield. That the most of: the payable goldbearing area is confined to a small space, and the granting of ; the special claim now applied for would tie up nearly all the available gold mining area, s: to the great /detriment of the miners, and to the mining industry. 8.
