TRAGEDY IN NEW SOUTH WALES.
A BANK MANAGER SHOT DEAD. Press Association.—Electric Telegraph. -Copyright. Sydney, April 18. Mr. McKay, manager of the branch of the Commercial Bank at Barraba, 58 miles from Tamworth, was shot dead at noon today, by two armed men. Very few particulars are to hand, and it has nob been ascertained whether any money was stolen. Both men escaped, but search parties have gone in pursuit of them. Lamb.
McKay was shot right through the head. The two local policemen were absent from town when the affair happened, bub while returning they mob the two murderers on the road, riding hard., At thab time they were nob aware of the tragedy, and consequently paid very little attention to the men. ..,..■ ,
