KAURI GUM MARKET.

The following is the report of the gum market and ruling quotations, as furnished to us by the committee of gum merchants :— Poor ordinary ... ... £24 Ordinary ... £27 Good ordinary ... ... £34 East Coast £52 Parcels of superior ordinary command higher prices according to quality and degree of cleaning. Supplies for March 653 tons, and from the lßt inst. to date, 60 tons. The market still remains depressed, and prices nominal.

BY TELEGRAPH.

DUNEDTN OATS. Donedin, April 4.—The market is quite devoid of animation. The small business being done is confined to requirements of local consumers, and as the quantity still being put on the market for immediate disposal is a long way more than sufficient, there is no show for prices to improve, nor are they likely to while growers continue to press sales immediately on arrival. A small business is being done in feed and milling at prices ranging from Is 3d to Is 5Jd (ex store, sacks extra net). Only very small parcels can be picked up at these prices, as a good many growers have decided to store for a time.
