Reid, leader of the Opposition, has given notice to move when the Appropriation Bill is introduced, urging upon the Government the necessity of holding a general election as soon as possible, in view of important national questions awaiting the new Parliament. The object is to ascertain the views of the Government before granting twelve months' supplies.
