[by telegraph—own correspondent.] Thames, Thursday. The Ladies Association of the local Presbyterian Church at their monthly meeting, held last night, took into consideration what was characterised as the arbitrary, unfeeling, and unfair action of the Presbytery in not allowing the pastor, the Rev. S. J. Neill, any opportunity of saying farewell to the congregation. The Presbytery's action was strongly condemned, and it was unanimously resolved, That the Association ceaseconnectionwith the Church. "It was also unanimously resolved, " That the Association re-form, with power to add to to thoir number, and act energetically with the new services which Mr. Neill will carry on at St. George's Hall."
