[BY telegraph.—-press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. Chief Justice Sir Jas. Prkndergast has been gazetted Acting-Governor during the absence of Lord Glasgow at Rarotonga. His Excellency will be away from New Zealand about a month. Tho Hinemoa, with the Vice-Regal party on board, leaves Auckland on Tuesday next, and the Kermadecs will be visited on the ran down to Raratonga.
